We are excited to be kicking off the 2022-23 school year! We've had a great start, and it's been energizing to see so many smiling faces in the hallways. We started the year with a Welcome Back assembly where we welcomed our freshmen and other new students to the Pack, introduced new staff members, and talked about our focus for the year: how connected we are to each other and our community. As we move into the second week of school, I'm excited to announce an an exciting upcoming event for the students at PPHS- CHALLENGE DAY. Parents- a letter about this program was sent to the email address we have on file for you, and paperwork with specific dates was given to your child this afternoon. The following link will take you to that letter, in case you didn't receive it in your email. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IXr9WRXiIeX_PA9tnTijIkdGYWiSQhPN/view?usp=sharing

When it comes to dedicated volunteers at PPPS, we have the best. Here's a shout-out to Matt Miller who generously donated his time to pressure wash the press box at Falan Field today! For any others who are interested in volunteering, we are looking for some helping hands to assist with weeding the flower beds around Paw Paw Public Schools. To learn more, email the Director of Maintenance: thomas.imus@ppps.org. #BuildTogetherPawPaw

At the June meeting of the Board of Education, Paw Paw Middle School math coach and interventionist Beth Covey shared the work of the MS Math Professional Learning Community, introducing board members and those in attendance to the work her team has put into developing a comprehensive MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) program in math for students in grades 6-8. For many board members and attendees it was an introduction to work generated during Wednesday Early Release sessions when teachers collaborate around student data to plan and adjust instruction to better meet the needs of all students. Thank you to Mrs. Covey and the MS Math team for sharing and providing the high quality MTSS program provided to students at Paw Paw Middle School.
