Celebrate reading month and READ LIKE A HERO! Due to the snow day we will accept shirt orders until tomorrow morning. All orders must be turned into the office by 10:00am on Thursday.
We hope any and all interested parents will join us for our upcoming program, titled Preparing Students for Civic Life: Tough Conversations During Divided Times.
This program will feature information about how Paw Paw Public Schools teaches students the educational lessons of Social Studies classes, topics like civics, history, and current events, at a time when discourse can be so divided. Our goal is to provide information and to talk with parents and families about how we maintain professionalism in the classroom even as we pursue our obligation to provide education that prepares students for full participation in civic life.
To join the program, please let us know you're interested by clicking on this link (Registration for the February 11 Parent Chat), and we'll send you a Zoom invitation. The program will take place Thursday, February 11, at 7 PM.
And put Thursday, February 25 on your calendar as well, as the focus for that Parent Chat session will be Getting Help When Students Struggle in the Classroom.
Paw Paw Public Schools will be closed due to inclement weather on Friday, February 5th.
Enjoy your 1st SNOW DAY!

Did you know that nearly 1 in every 33 kids lives in a home with someone other than their parents, and that includes many families in the Paw Paw district? (The AARP estimates the number of children being raised by grandparents has more than doubled in recent years, for instance.)
Paw Paw PS wants to partner will all the families in our district, so the next Parent Chat will focus on the experiences of Nontraditional Families, including information and resources that can help these families support students towards health, happiness, and success.
The next Parent Chat is Thursday, January 14, at 7 PM on Zoom. To register and get a Zoom link, please visit the PPPS webpage, at ppps.org. During this session there will be information for all families, including District and local resources available for support.

Paw Paw Later Elementary Morning Announcements. https://youtu.be/pqia0ZF7Fro
Good evening Later Elementary families. This is just a reminder to all of our families that all students will be learning from home tomorrow Monday, January 4th through Friday, January 8th. Chromebooks and all necessary materials were sent home with students on winter break. Please make sure that you carefully review information and schedules sent out by your child's teacher that give the schedule for live instruction. If you haven’t already done so, it would be a good idea to have your child to log into their Chromebook with their Clever badge this afternoon to check for instructions in their Google classroom. Your child will need to log on at 8:50am tomorrow for our morning announcements and then live instruction begins at 9:00am and goes until 12:30pm. Students have a 30 minute lunch break and then the afternoon is for the completion of assigned work until 3:00pm.
We are asking for our families to sit down today with your children to remind them that attendance is required, participation is expected, and all we ask from each of our students is their best effort throughout the day. Make sure they have an appropriate space at home where they can productively participate throughout the moring during live instructiom. Our office will be open from 7:30am until 3:30pm if you have questions or need assistance.
Once again, Happy New Year. We can’t wait to see the kids on Monday!
Special guest outside of the Later Elementary this morning!!!
