The PPPS Transportation Department sponsored the 2nd annual School Bus Safety Week poster contest for Young 5 to fifth-grade students! Students were invited to design posters around the theme "Safely Booking It To My Destination" with a focus on positive behavior and reading while riding the bus. Seven winners were chosen and each one received a certificate signed by Transportation Director Angela Vasquez, a group photo with several of the bus drivers, A Wendy's Boo Book for 5 free frosties, a bag of candy, and a golden token used to get a book from the school's book vending machine. The student's posters will also be on display at the Elementary schools. This year's winners are : Josie Muir, Bella Rosenbaum, Blake Garland, Carson Byford, Bryn Beach, Zakk Smith, and Piper Silva.

On Day 3 of National Bus Safety Week, today's tip is about keeping kids safe at the bus stop. The PPPS Transportation Department takes driver training and student safety seriously. Family Literacy Night at Paw Paw Later Elementary was a huge success! Thank you to all who participated, and here's a special shout-out to the PPHS National Honor Society students who stepped up to provide child care, so families could attend.
