At the end of each regular Board of Education Meeting, board members take a moment to share some of the great things they see in the district while serving on the Board. Recently, board members were asked to share something about our facilities that makes us stand out as a district.
Here are this month's points of Pride & Progress
“I would invite everyone on the board to visit Brian in the maintenance building just once. Also, stop by and see Angela in the bus garage. While there is nothing special about the buildings, the people in them are pretty special! For the future, stop in and see what they are doing and the great things happening in those facilities.” Brent McNitt
“It’s very difficult to choose because all our facilities are great! I have a certain affinity for the performing arts center. That stage serves all our music, band, and performing arts students from kindergarten to 12th grade, which sets us apart as a district." Ray Martin
"I think all our facilities are great!" Tom Imus
“I really like how our facilities look from the highway, and I feel like we have good “curb appeal” as a district.” When I talk to people around the county, I share how we have such great facilities, and I’d like to see us keep moving forward with those projects.” Lindsay Clark
“Our people continue to impress me. Even though the staff at Cedar Street is used to their “family” there, they are willing to be part of a new “family,” which says a lot. Because we have such a great staff, I feel confident that things will go smoothly. I appreciate all the staff across the district.” Nate Mitchell
"I appreciate every single one of them. I'm so proud of everybody. I love how hard this board worked together to come to a consensus. I think it's going to be a great year. So, I love everything and everyone." Mary Beth Sons
