Paw Paw, MI - (November 7, 2025) Paw Paw High Varsity Tennis Coach Matt Baleja was recently named Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association Division 4 Boys Coach of the Year, a tremendous honor in and of itself. In addition, Coach Baleja also received recognition as the 2025 State Tennis Coach of the Year across all regional divisions by the association.
Under Coach Baleja's leadership, the Red Wolves Varsity Tennis Team recently capped off an outstanding season with a record of 9-1-3, finishing second in the Wolverine Conference, just one point behind Sturgis. The team continued its strong performance and finished second at the regional tournament, earning a spot at the MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) State Finals where they finished 11th overall - the best finish in school history.
This is a well-deserved honor for an outstanding leader on and off the court. Congratulations, Coach Baleja! Your family, friends, players, and the entire Paw Paw Red Wolves pack could not be more proud of all that you've accomplished.
