PPPS Board of Education District Shout-Outs Build Together Paw Paw

At the end of each regular Board of Education Meeting, board members take a moment to share some of the great things they see happening in the district while serving on the Board. Here are this month's points of Pride & Progress:

“At Paw Paw High School, I’d like to start by congratulating the May Student of the Month, Meah Hameed. Also, I had the opportunity to attend prom again this year. It was held at the Air Zoo, which was such a great venue. Everyone really enjoyed themselves, and we had full access to the entire facility, which was very cool!” Brent McNitt

At Paw Paw Middle School, for the second year in a row, they received the “Certified Michigan Green School Award.” Also, when I recently attended the kindergarten and first grade track & field day, I was happy to see a group of middle school students helping out. According to PE Teacher Jennifer Ayres, she could not make that event happen without their help. In the performing arts, I’d like to give a big shout-out to the middle school production of Aladdin Jr., under the direction of Kevin Cort and Sydney Brown. It was a fabulous show and a tremendous success!” Lindsay Clark

“At Paw Paw Early Elementary, they recently held a successful Kindergarten and Young Fives Registration Rollout! With ninety families setting appointments, and eighty-five families showing up to meet with the early elementary team, it was very well attended. The office staff also offered the option of walk-in appointments. For families who were not able to attend Registration Rollout but would like more information, please reach out to Principal Leah Barnes at leah.barnes@ppps.org.”  Nate Mitchell

“I’d like to give a shout-out to everyone in the administration building. Superintendent Davison, Alisa Clark, Kara Corniel, and the whole team are always working so hard. They’re always very welcoming and friendly! Superintendent Davison always has his door open to us whenever we need him, and he is very patient, listens and teaches us. I appreciate that. Also, I’d like to give a shout-out to HS Principal Tammy Southworth for her help in finding my way to volunteer at the high school baseball field. Lastly, shout-out to Derek in the concession stand. He is amazing. I’m so proud of all our volunteers!” Mary Beth Sons
