The Kindergarten and Young 5’s teachers and staff at Paw Paw Early Elementary are excited to announce that the Kindergarten and Young 5’s Jumpstart Event for the 2023-2024 school year will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday, August 14, at Paw Paw Early Elementary, 512 North Street.
Incoming students who will be five years of age by September 1, 2023, are eligible to attend kindergarten, and children who will be five years of age by December 1, 2023, are invited to attend the Young 5’s program. Registration is not required to attend this event.
“This Jump Start Event is a great opportunity for children to meet their classmates, become familiar with the school campus, get to know their teachers, and spend time in the classrooms before school starts,” said Principal Leah Barnes. “It’s also a great way for families to meet teachers and staff, connect with other families, and learn about the great educational opportunities that await their child at Paw Paw Early Elementary!”
On August 14, students will check-in at 8:30 a.m. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., students will stay with teachers and support staff enjoying story time, playtime, crafts, recess and a snack, while families attend a short presentation at 9 a.m. When families pick up their students at 11 a.m., students and families can participate together in fun activities, such as school and bus tours and a scavenger hunt! Student vision and hearing screenings will be offered on-site during the event.
Principal Barnes and the entire Early Elementary Team are excited to welcome all of the new families to the community and look forward to meeting the future Red Wolves!
