PPPS Board of Ed District Shout-Outs. Build Together Paw Paw Public Schools

BUILD TOGETHER LOGO

At the end of each regular Board of Education Meeting, board members take a moment to share some of the great things they see in the district while serving on the Board. Recently, board members were asked to share with new staff members one thing they are proud of or want them to know about being part of Paw Paw.

Here are this month's points of Pride & Progress:

I would like to formally welcome you again. For those who were selected for positions, you should be very proud of your accomplishments. I understand there was quite a strong pool of candidates.”  Lindsay Clark

“What I like about Paw Paw is it has a small-school feel with big-school amenities. We also have great faculty, great staff, great sports teams, but what I am most proud of is we have an incredible performing arts center with abundant opportunities for students from elementary through high school.” Ray Martin

"I'm a proud Paw Paw alumnus, and Paw Paw is a great town!" Tom Imus

“You have a fantastic leader and a good support system. This is a good-sized district. It’s not so small that opportunities are limited, and not so large that students lose that personal connection.” Nate Mitchell

What I have noticed and what I am most proud of is that every teacher cares, and every principal cares. We might not be perfect all the time, but we learn and work to make things better, and everyone seems to work together for the common good of every student.” Mary Beth Sons

“I am proud of this district because it’s part of a greater community, where we know the phrase ‘It takes a village,’ and there are many villagers in our community.” Maria Bowater
