PPPS Board of ed district shout-outs

BUILD TOGETHER PAW PAW PUBLIC SCHOOLS

SCHOOL BOARD SHOUT-OUTS, JANUARY 2026

At the end of each regular Board of Education Meeting, board members take a moment to share some of the great things they see in the district while serving on the Board.

Here are this month's points of Pride & Progress:

“I’d like to acknowledge our director of transportation Angela Vasquez. Thank you for going out at 4 a.m. to check road conditions. This is an unsung part of the job, but something that is especially important in keeping our students safe.”  Brent McNitt

“PPPS has a great performing arts program, and from January 30 through February 1, the Paw Paw High School production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will take the stage at the Paw Paw Performing Arts Center (PAC). As a district, we are fortunate to offer performing arts opportunities at every grade level, supported by a fantastic venue and the expertise of our dedicated technical director, Kris Perkins. With the new multipurpose gym under construction next door and increased visitors attending events at both venues, it’s exciting to see all the continued positive momentum for our district.” Ray Martin

“Paw Paw Middle School adjusted its conference schedule so families could also attend high school conferences, and I truly appreciate the administrators and teachers who made this option possible. I would also like to give a special shout-out to my son’s PE teacher, Mr. Mullins. While PE conferences don’t always see high attendance, he took it seriously, came well-prepared, and provided a thoughtful update on our son’s progress. Thank you, Mr. Mullins!”  Lindsay Clark

“I recently had the pleasure of attending the elementary Daddy-Daughter Dance with my daughter. It was a wonderful event! We played musical chairs, did the limbo and had so much fun. Thank you to everyone who helped organize this special event.” Nate Mitchell
