Sex Education & Reproductive Health

Paw Paw Public Schools has a sex education advisory board (SEAB) composed of students, parents, district educators, health care officials, and clergy. Members apply to serve on the committee for two-year terms, and the next application process will take place in August 2026. The application can be found at this link.

The SEAB has 17 members, including two co-chairs. The 17-person membership of the PPPS SEAB is as follows:

Nine (9) members are parents of students currently enrolled at PPPS. Eight (8) members are not parents of students currently enrolled at PPPS. Eleven(11) members are not employees of PPPS. Six(6) members are employees of PPPS.

One (1) member is a pastor at a Paw Paw area church. Two (2) members are health-care professionals. One (1) member is a mental health clinician. Three(3) members teach health/sex ed courses for PPPS. Two (2) members are students. Three(3) PPPS Administrators

The Sex Education and Reproductive Health program at PPPS is outlined in the PPPS Sex Education Handbook (November, 2024).

Please note: the curriculum resources provided below are for stakeholders to access curriculum that was reviewed and adapted by the PPPS Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) during the 2023-24 school year. The curriculum was presented at public hearings hosted by the SEAB in Spring 2024.
