Parents are encouraged to put money into their child's account by sending a check made out to "Paw Paw Public Schools Food Service". Students can also purchase meals with cash.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A STUDENT FORGETS HIS/HER MEAL MONEY?

Charge Policy:

At all Paw Paw Public Schools buildings, if an account balance falls below $0, the student will continue to receive and be charged for a reimbursable meal until the account is brought into good standing.

Email notices are sent out electronically on a daily basis. It is the parents responsibility to make sure the district has a current email address on file.

The student is reminded of their balance each time they charge a meal, to remind them to bring in a deposit.

The Principal or Food Service Director will attempt to reach out to parents by phone or mailing letters home if there is no response to the emails or verbal notices.

Students are never refused a meal because a hungry child cannot learn.

Students are not allowed to charge second meals or alacarte items, they must have money in hand or funds in their account.

IS MILK THE ONLY BEVERAGE ALLOWED WITH THE MEAL?

In accordance to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) nutritional guidelines, milk is no longer a MANDATORY item for lunch in any grade, children have the choice to have it or not.
