We are 2PawRobotics (Team 5462), a FIRST Robotics team dedicated to inspiring innovation, fostering confidence, heightening communication, and building leadership amongst our team members. Our goal is to offer a foundation of STEM skills and inspire our members to be leaders in the science, technology, and business fields.
What is FIRST Robotics?
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is the optimum fusion of the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the Ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants even call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense time limit, teams of students are challenged to do many things; such as raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, build, and program industrial-sized robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteers, professionals, and mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with exciting FIRST Championship competitions.
