5th Grade Updates
Good afternoon 5th grade families.
First, Mr. McDaniel sent out a survey via email to 5th grade student accounts for class interest for 6th grade schedules.  Make sure your child takes a minute to fill that out.  This will allow the middle school to work on class schedules sooner than later.  The survey link will also be in the daily update tomorrow.

Next, we have not received any video submissions for our 5th grade talent show.  I know we have a tremendous amount of talent in our 5th grade, and we would love to show it off through a virtual 5th grade talent show to keep our end of year tradition alive.  Please remember that Miss Heasley will be accepting submissions through Friday!

Finally, the 5th grade team and I have been working with the PTO about how to do something special to send off our students to the middle school.  On Wednesday night June 10th, we will have a 50s style drive-in event at the middle school gym parking lot.  We will have a special video to celebrate their hard work.  We are working out final details, but this will probably be a 9:00 start time to ensure that the picture is bright enough on the screen.  Please keep an open mind and know we recognize that this is a late event, but in the spirit of adversity, this is the safest way to have a large group together, while practicing social distancing by remaining in the safety of your own vehicle.

Thanks!
