Paw Paw High School students have had a pretty incredible end of winter. Here are some reasons our students had to celebrate:

  • Concert Choir earned Division 1 rating at District Festival, qualify for State Festival

  • Voices of the Future earned Division 1 rating at District Festival, qualify for State Festival

  • Choir Students earned Division 1 ratings at District Solo/Ensemble; qualify for State S/E

  • 5 Powerlifters qualified for the State meet

    • Logan Learned (finished 6th at JV State)

    • Kaity Fusko (did not compete at State due to cheer conflict)

    • Charles Miller (finished 13th at State)

    • Kolby Hindenach (finished 10th at State)

    • Connor Hindenach (finished 3rd at State) 

  • The Science Olympiad Team took third place at Regionals.  Qualified for State, April 25. (9 students-1st place, 4 students-2nd place, 7 students-3rd place, 11 students-4th place)

  • Boys Bowling Team went undefeated in regular season; won Regional; placed 17th in the State

  • Emily Vandenburg placed in girls bowling individual regional; qualified for State; placed 13th at State

  • Concert Band earned Division 1 rating (Straight 1s) at District Festival, qualify for State Festival 

  • Honors Band earns Division 1 rating (Straight 1s) at District Festival, qualify for State Festival (The 8th Grade Band accomplished the same as the HS Bands, making it the first time all 3 bands have accomplished this feat.)

  • 8 wrestlers qualified for Individual Regionals- most in school history

  • 4 Wrestlers qualified for the individual State Wrestling Finals-most in school history.

  • Anthony Bradley finished 2nd at the individual State Wrestling Finals.

  • Competitive Cheer Team won Wolverine Conference

  • Competitive Cheer Team won District Cheer & set new school records in all 3 round and total score

  • Competitive Cheer Team won Regional Cheer

  • Competitive Cheer place 3rd at State Cheer...highest finish in school history

  • Robotics competed in the first competition of the year.  It was a great weekend. Students learned many life skills such as problem solving, persistence and gracious sportsmanship.  They represented Paw Paw well.

  • Twenty-one  DECA members competed in a variety of business-related events at the District conference. Out of those 21 competitors, 17 were awarded medals for their performance and 15 qualified to move onto State Competition in Detroit.

  • Kalamazoo  Eagles Hockey Team, including PPHS’s Tyler Wressel, made State QuarterFinals, losing in triple overtime.

  • Several of our students had an opportunity to work with artist Hector Acuna and the Saugatuck Center for the Arts to create puppets and display them during a special reception.

  • Kaitlyn Hamacher was selected to participate in the South Haven Center for the Arts “Artist of Tomorrow” art show.

  • Yearbook is close to completing the 2020 yearbook.  The yearbook staff's commitment to this book has been extremely encouraging.  All fall and winter pages have been completed and sent out for publication. Huge success for an after school program.
