Greetings from the Principal
My name is Tammy Southworth, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Paw Paw High School. I began my career in education as a high school math and English teacher in a nearby district before coming to Paw Paw in an administrative role. I have spent the last 11 years as the PPHS Assistant Principal and am looking forward to putting my experience to work leading this team of educators and students.
In my time at PPHS, we have implemented new initiatives and made positive gains in how we prepare students. I am excited to see where our new path takes us, as we embrace our role in the PPPS Vision of preparing students to be College, Career, AND Community Ready. Our focus on giving students the tools to problem solve, think critically, and make connections and providing a safe environment for all students to do that work, is right on point with guiding students to achieve their goals.
My husband, Gregg, and I live in the Paw Paw school district with our two children. Our kids have grown up in this community and have attended school here their entire careers. Knowing that they have teachers who care about their success, both in and out of the classroom, and who care about them as people has been a blessing. I am so proud to call Paw Paw our home.
If ever I can be of assistance, please feel free to contact me at (269) 415-5600 or firstname.lastname@example.org
