About Mrs. Douglass
In the picture above, I'm with my husband of 17 years and our three daughters. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University where I played four years of tennis and earned both my B.A. in Secondary Education and my M.A. in Counseling. I have been working at Paw Paw since 2006 in various capacties, joining the middle school in 2015. When I'm not at school, I enjoy being with my family hiking, reading, playing tennis, exercising, and serving in our church.
I think I might have the best job in the building. Not only do I get to work with all the grade levels and all the students, I work the teachers and the parents. The mission of the Paw Paw Middle School Counseling program is to provide a comprehensive counseling curriculum that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of every student. I hope that every student will grow in personal responsibility and social responsibility. Personal responsibility means that students will continue to learn how to take charge of their own learning and take individual accountability for their decisions and actions. Social responsibility means that students learn how to understand themselves, each other, and the world. If you have concerns about your student that stretch beyond the classroom, please reach out to me via e-mail or a phone call. I would love to connect with you.
