In accordance with FCC regulations and the Children's Protection Act of 2001, Paw Paw Public Schools filters all web traffic. The software that we employ cross-references each website against a "black-list" to determine whether it should allow or deny access to a particular site.
Through a combination of physical monitoring and filtering PPPS tries to keep our students as safe possible. As stated in the Acceptable Usage Policy:
"There is a wide range of material available on the Internet, which may not be appropriate for student users. It is not practical or possible for PPPS to monitor and enforce the wide range of social values represented on the Internet"
PPPS updates the list of "blocked" sites daily.
