Each year Paw Paw High
School provides numerous opportunities for
students to participate in the world of performing arts. Our performing arts department produces three major stage productions and multiple band and choir
events yearly.
The Rising
Stars Talent Show is produced by the high school choir department and is a
great opportunity for students to show off their various talents. Vocal
performance, dance, skits these are just a few examples of the what our
students bring to the stage. The Rising Stars Talent Show is annually held the
Saturday of Homecoming week.
In the fall
we produce a play each year. Past productions include: A Midsummer Nights Dream, Dracula, and Alice in Wonderland. Auditions are held very early on in the school
year and are open to all high school students. Never performed on stage before?
That doesn’t mean that you are not qualified. We can provide the basic training
necessary for students to be on stage.
In February
we bring our annual musical to the stage. Past productions include: Oliver, Footloose, Once Upon A Mattress,
and Fiddler on the Roof. The musical
presents a great opportunity for students to learn the “triple threat” of
singing, dancing, and acting all at once. In addition to the on stage talent,
our musicals also require a student orchestra. Auditions are usually held in
mid December so be sure to look for information in the fall.
